How is the Helium Foundation involved in this project?
The Helium Foundation awarded Relay a grant to build and maintain the API. Their funding and guidance keep the project open and community-focused.
Why did you build this API?
While developing the Relay platform we hit the same roadblocks everyone faces with Helium’s raw S3 data. We built Relay API to remove that pain and make Oracle data instantly usable.
Is the original Relay platform still around?
Yes. Relay’s platform is alive and well—helping deployers automate rewards, fleet management, and payouts.
Can I process Helium payments through the API?
Not today. Relay API delivers Oracle data only. For automated payouts, use the Payouts feature in the Relay platform.
What data can I pull right now?
During beta you’ll get hotspot rewards and activity, sourced directly from Helium Oracles. Next up: Solana on-chain data such as hotspot IDs, wallets, locations, and transactions.
I’m not technical — can I still use the API?
Absolutely. Start with our REST endpoints: copy a ready-made URL, drop in your API key, and you’re live. Full walkthroughs are in the docs.
